FTPA
We have a very active and wonderful FPTA here at St. Mary’s. We can’t thanks Helen and Natalie our leaders enough. Helen and Natalie are both working parents whose children are at the school and they work tirelessly to lead a wide range of fund raising events throughout each year to firstly have fun, but also to raise vital extra funds for our school. Each year, they run Summer and Christmas Fairs with Grand prize draws, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day Secrets Rooms, Discos, Break the Rules days, Teacher for the day, Bake Offs and many more sales etc. Previously they have raised money for outdoor equipment and grounds projects as well as buying extra IT equipment for our children. Now, in the cost of living crisis, they help to subsidise school trips so every child can attend a range of exciting trips throughout their time here at St. Mary’s without too much cost.
As well as Natalie and Helen, we have a great team of helpers who all come together for each event to help out in large or small way. We are very grateful to everyone who helps and are always on the lookout for more helpers – parents, grandparents, neighbours or parishioners. It’s a great way to meet other parents, raise money for your child’s school, and can also be a great stepping stone to getting more confident and getting experience in a wide range of skills too. Some of our staff even started out helping with the FPTA! Come along, it’s great fun!
