Nursery 2022-23
Welcome
The Early Years team would like to begin with a warm welcome to all of our children and families both those who are new to our St Mary’s family and those returning for a new year with us in Nursrey! The entire team are looking forward to a wonderful and exciting year together! We are already proud of how well the children have come into nursery & settled into their new environment during their first back. We are looking forward to a fun and busy first half term together and getting to know you and your children.
The staff in the EYFS unit are Miss Riley, Miss Bain and Miss Smith. We are always available for you to talk so please do not hesitate to come and speak to us if you have any questions or concerns. Alternatively please email: nursery1@smrc-lit.co.uk.
We are looking forward to the exciting year ahead and working in partnership with you and your family.
Please don’t hesitate to speak to any member of staff if you have any questions or queries at any time.
Kindest,
Miss Riley and the EYFS Team

Additional Information
Helpful information to support your child at school:
Labels
Please ensure all your child's clothing is labelled
Spare clothes
Please ensure your child has a small bag of spare clothes in case of toilet accidents and messy activities.
Wellies
Please ensure your child has a pair of wellies in school for rainy days and all weather activities.
Book bags
We encourage your child to bring a book bag to school, little hands often have lots to carry! (These can be purchased at the school office)
Adults collecting your child
If your child is being collected by someone different or someone who is not known to staff please inform us or contact the school office. This is particularly important over the first half term as we get to know you and your family.
Toys
Can we please ask that your child does not bring toys into school. Lost or broken toys can often cause upset. We have an abundance of toys and activities to keep them busy through the day!
Snack
Children will be provided with a snack of milk/water and a piece of fruit each day. It is not necessary to send in any additional snack for your child.
Water bottles
Please ensure your child brings a water bottle each day that is clearly labelled with their name.
